What is the difference between a guest account and an activated account?

Your guest account is a demo account that allows you to get to know the new domain platform. For all paid actions, such as registering domains, you have to activate the account and become a customer. Afterwards you will receive a customer number via email and can use all functions.

Which payment types are possible?

After you have activated your account you can decide whether you want to pay with prepayment or postpayment.

With prepayment you have to charge the account with credit on the shopping cart page or in the user profile before the first order. With postpayment your details are checked and your account is then activated. This process can take up to 48 hours. After that you can order domains and other products.

Which payment methods are possible in postpayment?

You can choose between invoice, credit card and SEPA direct debit (only in countries participating in the SEPA payment scheme).

Why can I not place any purchases despite activation of my account?

What does the limit in my user profile mean?

Every postpayment account has a limit. This limit behaves similar to a dispo limit and is emptied once a month. The limit applies to new registrations, transfers and package orders, not renews.

During the verification process of the postpayment account the limit is zero and will be adjusted accordingly.

What do I have to consider when paying by credit card?

If you have selected the payment method "credit card" and do not provide credit card details, you will automatically receive an invoice when you place an order. You can enter or change your credit card data at any time in your user profile (user administration).

How can I reset my password?

If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot your password" link below the login form. You will then receive an email to the email address you provided with a verification link which you must click. A form will open. Select here whether the further process should be carried out via mobile phone, alternative email address or 2FA (two-factor authentication).

You will then receive an e-mail or SMS with a TAN. Enter the new password, the password repetition and the TAN in the automatically updated form. If you have chosen 2FA, enter the 2FA token instead of the TAN.

How can I register a domain?

Enter your desired domain on the start page in the search field "Search and Register Domain". By clicking on the magnifying glass symbol, your desired domain will be displayed in "Domain Studio" with the status and, if applicable, the price for the registration. Here you will be given numerous other suitable suggestions in addition to the exact search hit.

If you click on the desired domain, it will be placed in the shopping cart. By clicking on the shopping cart icon, you can display the selected domains in the "Shopping Cart" pop-up menu and remove them here if you wish.

Click on "Checkout" at the bottom of the pop-up menu to get to the shopping cart page. Here you can enter all the information important for domain registration, such as domain contacts and name servers, and activate additional domain services. You can complete the order by clicking on the ORDER NOW button.

Are domains renewed automatically or does this have to be done manually?

With postpayment, domains are automatically renewed (auto-renew), with prepayment, domains must be manually renewed (auto-delete). You will receive a corresponding notification before a domain expires so that you can renew it manually in time.

In the portfolio under "Renews/Restores" you will get an overview of the renewal status of your domains.

How can I make a bulk registration?

For a bulk registration open the "Domain Multi Tool" in the DOMAINS menu. Enter the domains manually in the "Search" or add a list there. You can select domains with the status "available" and use the entry "Select to cart" in the more menu to first display the prices and then add all domains to the cart in one step. You can also add the desired domains to the shopping cart and register them individually.

In the shopping cart, you can enter all the necessary details such as domain contacts and name servers and activate additional domain services. You can complete the order by clicking on the ORDER NOW button.

Where can I change my domain data?

An overview of your registered domains is displayed in the portfolio under "Domains". Here you can select and edit the desired domain. Besides editing domain data, the name server and DNSSEC, addons and domain services can be activated. In case of paid actions, you will be redirected to the shopping cart page.

How can I transfer a domain?

For a domain transfer, open the "Domain Studio" in the DOMAINS menu. Select the domain to be transferred, if necessary using the search function, and click on the domain to put it in the shopping cart.

By clicking on the shopping cart icon, you can display the selected domains in the "Shopping Cart" pop-up menu and remove them again if you wish.

Click on "Checkout" at the bottom of the pop-up menu to go to the shopping cart page. On the shopping cart page in the "Domain Transfer" section, you can enter the AuthInfo for the domain and other data such as the domain contacts and the name servers and activate additional domain services. You can start the transfer by clicking the ORDER NOW button.

How can I perform a bulk transfer of domains?

For a mass transfer open the "Domain Multi Tool" in the DOMAINS menu. Enter the domains to be transferred manually in the "Search" or add a list there.

Select the desired domains. Via the entry "Select to Cart" in the more menu you can first display the prices in the window "Transfer Domain" and then add all domains to the shopping cart by clicking on the button "Add to Cart".

On the shopping cart page in the "Domain Transfer" section, you can enter the AuthInfo for the domains and other data such as the domain contacts and the name servers and activate additional domain services. You can start the transfer by clicking on the ORDER NOW button.

How do I create zones?

You can create new zones in the portfolio under "Zones" using the "plus" or the "Create New Zone" entry in the more menu. You will be redirected to the page NEW ZONE where you can enter general zone data, name server settings and SOA settings as well as create resource records.

For a bulk order, you can create as many domains as you like for which the new zone is to apply under "Basic" using the "plus" in the input field for the domain name.

In the more menu, you can select further actions such as the creation of email records, subdomains, resource records and also the zone import.

For new registrations or transfers, zones are (optionally) automatically created and configured for the respective domains.

How can I edit zones?

You can edit the zones of one or more domains in the portfolio in the "Zones" tab. If you click on a zone, a form for editing the data will open. For a bulk order, select the desired zones and choose "Edit selection" in the more menu. You can change general zone data as well as settings on the name servers, resource records and the SOA.

When changing the resource records with a mass job, the system always shows which zones this affects, so that the resource records are not copied to all existing zones.

How can I book optional products and services in the new interface?

There are various ways to book optional services in the platform.

Under "Products and Services" in the menu item SERVICES the products, services (API services) and packages are displayed in tabs. Here you can filter for active and inactive products. If you click on the ACTIVE button, all important information about the respective product will be displayed and you can add the product to your shopping cart by clicking on ORDER.

For domains that are in the shopping cart, you can add optional services that do not include package variants to the shopping cart directly during the ordering process. All one-time costs as well as follow-up costs are displayed.

For domains that are already registered, you can book additional services in the portfolio. Click on the domain and select the desired services under "Addons" or "Services" and enter the required data.
