What is the difference between a guest account and an activated account?
Your guest account is a demo account, which allows to get to know the new domain platform. For all paid actions, like registering domains, you have to activate the account and become a customer. Afterwards you will receive a customer number via email and can use all functions.
Which payment types are possible?
After you have activated your account, you can decide whether you want to use prepayment or postpayment.
If you choose prepayment, you will need to fund your account on the SHOPPING CART page or in your user profile before placing your first order.
With postpayment, your details are checked and your account is then activated. This process can take up to 48 hours. After that you can order domains and other products.
Which payment methods are possible in postpayment?
You can choose between invoice, credit card and SEPA direct debit (only in countries participating in SEPA).
Why can I not place any purchases despite activation of my account?

What does the limit in my user profile mean?
Each postpayment account has a monthly limit, which can be seen in the Master data. The limit applies to new registrations, transfers and package orders, as well as manually triggered renews.
During the verification process of the postpayment account, the limit is zero and will be adjusted accordingly afterwards.
What do I have to consider when paying by credit card?
If you have selected the payment method "credit card" and have not entered your credit card details, you will automatically receive a request to enter them when placing an order. You can enter or change your credit card data at any time in your user profile (User Management).
How can I reset my password?
If you have forgotten your password, click the "Forgot your password" link below the login form and enter your username. You will then receive an email at the email address you provided with a verification link that you need to click. A form will open. Here you choose whether the further process should take place via cell phone or alternative email address.
You will then receive an email or SMS with a TAN. Enter the new password, the password repetition and the TAN in the automatically updated form.
How can I register a domain?
Enter your domain name on the start page in the search field "Enter desired domain name". A direct Whois query is also possible here.
By clicking on "Search domain", your desired domain will be checked in the DOMAIN STUDIO and displayed with its status and, if applicable, price for registration. In addition to the exact search hit, numerous other suitable suggestions will be made.
If you click on the desired domain, it will be added to the SHOPPING CART.
By clicking the SHOPPING CART icon you can display the selected domains in the popup menu SHOPPING CART and remove them here if desired.
If you click on "Checkout" in the popup menu below, you will be taken to the SHOPPING CART page.
Here you can enter all important information for the domain registration, such as domain contacts and name servers, as well as activate additional domain services. You can complete the order by clicking on the PLACE ORDER button.
Where can I find an overview of my domain inventory and how can I export it as a .CSV file?
To get your domain inventory click DOMAINS in the main menu and then PORTFOPLIO in the pull-down menu. In the More menu in the upper right corner, click Export Inventory (.csv). Specify the desired settings in the Export Inventory window, click Start Export and finally select the desired location for the .csv file.
Where can I find the TLD prices?
Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner and select "Price overview" in the menu. In the FILTER section you can enter the desired TLD to quickly display the price.
Are domains renewed automatically or does this have to be done manually?
With postpayment domains are renewed automatically (auto-renew), with prepayment domains have to be renewed manually (auto-delete).
As a prepayment customer you will receive a corresponding notification before the expiration of a domain to be able to perform a manual renewal in time.
Postpayment customers have to cancel domains that are no longer needed before they expire, so that they are not renewed automatically.
In the portfolio under "Renews/Restores" you get an overview of the renew status of your domains. There is also a widget "Domain Renews" which shows the upcoming renewals.
How can I make a bulk registration?
Open the "Domain Multi Tool" in the DOMAINS menu for a bulk registration. Enter the domains manually in the "Search" or add a list there. The domain list will be analyzed and the price per domain and also a total price will be displayed. You can select domains with the status "available" and add all or single domains to the SHOPPING CART via the entry "Selection/All to SHOPPING CART" in the More menu.
By the way, the Domain Multi Tool also works for bulk transfers of domains, more information will follow in the course of this FAQ.

Where can I change my domain data?
An overview of your registered domains is displayed in the portfolio under "Domains". Here you can select and edit the desired domain. In addition to editing domain data, zone data, the name servers and DNSSEC, addons and domain services can be activated. For paid actions you will be redirected to the SHOPPING CART page.
How can I transfer a domain?
For a domain transfer, open the DOMAIN STUDIO in the DOMAIN menu. Search for the domain you want to transfer, using the search function if necessary, and click on the domain to add it to the SHOPPING CART.
By clicking on the SHOPPING CART icon you can display the selected domains in the SHOPPING CART popup menu and remove them if you wish.
Clicking on "Checkout" at the bottom of the popup menu will take you to the SHOPPING CART page. There you can enter the AuthInfo for the domain and further data like the domain contacts and the name servers in the section "Domain transfer" and activate additional domain services. You can start the transfer by clicking the PLACE ORDER button.
How can I perform a bulk transfer of domains?
Open the "Domain Multi Tool" in the DOMAINS menu for a mass transfer. Enter the domains to be transferred including the respective authinfo manually into the "Search" or insert a list there.
Select the desired domains. You can add all domains to your order by clicking the ADD TO BASKET button in the More menu.
On the SHOPPING CART page in the section "Domain transfer" you can enter the AuthInfo for the domains and further data like the domain contacts and the name servers and activate additional domain services. You can start the transfer by clicking the PLACE ORDER button.
How do I create zones?
You can create new zones in the portfolio under "DNS Zones" using the "Plus" or the entry "Create new zone" in the More menu. You will be redirected to the NEW DNS ZONE page where you can enter general zone data, name server settings and SOA settings as well as create resource records.
For a bulk order, you can insert as many domains as you want for which the new zone is to be created under "Basic" using the "Plus" in the domain name input field.
In the More menu you can choose further actions, like creating email records, subdomains, resource records and also the zone import.
For new registrations or transfers, zones are (optionally) automatically created and configured for the respective domains.
How can I edit zones?
You can edit the zones of one or more domains in the Portfolio in the "DNS Zones" tab. Click on a zone to open a form for editing the data. For a bulk order, select the desired zones and choose "Edit selection" in the More menu. You can change general zone data as well as settings on the name servers, resource records and SOA. Our Zone Update Wizard also allows you to search and replace resource records.
When changing resource records with a bulk job, it is always shown which zones this affects, so that the resource records are not applied to all existing zones.
How can I book optional products and services in the new interface?
In the platform, there are various options for booking optional benefits or services.
Under PRODUCTS & SERVICES in the menu item SERVICES, the products, services (API services) and packages are displayed in tabs. You can filter by active and inactive products here. Click on the ACTIVATE button, then all important information about the respective product is displayed and you can place the product in the SHOPPING CART by clicking on ORDER.
For domains that are in the SHOPPING CART, you can book optional services that do not include package variants directly in the SHOPPING CART during the order process. All one-time costs and follow-up costs will be displayed.
For already registered domains you can book additional services in the portfolio. Click on the domain and select the desired services under "Addons" or "Services" and enter the required data.
How can I activate AutoDNS Pro?
In the PRO menu, click on the first subitem "AutoDNS Pro - All Pro features at a glance" and activate your own white label solution.
