Backup Space / Server

Regular and externally stored backups are part of DSGVO compliance. The following options can be booked at InterNetX:

  • Backup space as FTP or rsync (25GB / 100GB / 500GB / 1 TB)
  • external dedicated backup servers (e.g. FTP, also for several systems)
  • managed backup server (for bare metal and reseller cloud: backup via snapshots)

In the Managed Service, InterNetX performs a daily backup of the system, which is kept for 3 days. Backups are carried out by InterNetX. InterNetX recommends additional backups on file level.

Check whether regular backups are set up for your systems and perform tests for restores. For example, a backup may be unusable if it is based on an outdated operating system that may no longer be available at the time of the failure.

Monitoring

This monitors the basic system functions as well as the accessibility of the IP (ping) and the basic services SSH and HTTP. If critical values are reached, you are notified by email.

Monitoring Professional

This service provides effective monitoring of all major server components and server services. Possible faults are detected in advance and thus it is possible to react quickly and flexibly to critical values. When critical values are reached, you will be informed by us via email and SMS - (already included in the Managed Service)

Mail Monitoring

Email blacklists contribute to an effective spam defence. InterNetX monitors the most common email blacklists (SORBS SpamCop Disributed Sender Mail-Abuse.org Spamhaus SBL/XBL/PBL) for your IP listing and notifies you by email in case of listing. In addition, the following email services are monitored: IMAP, POP3, SMTP- (already included in the Managed Service).

MailProxy

This is an effective virus and spam filter that is placed in front of a mail server to check emails for viruses, spam and other harmful content in advance.

Available in 2 packages:

  • MailProxy for up to 100 domains for 12,90€ / month
  • MailProxy Professional for up to 500 domains at 39,90€ / month

You can activate the MailProxy via your AutoDNS account. You will find the order form in your AutoDNS under Customer Center / Optional Services / Optional Services Server / MailProxy.

SSH

Only for Managed Service, root access exists for unmanaged systems.
The following authorizations are available in SSH access:

You will find the access data in your ISAC account. Please use port 2222.
You can select the option for the main FTP user in the subscription settings under "Webhosting access" / access to the server via SSH -> /bin/bash (chrooted).

Advanced SSH (bash)

If commands are required beyond the SSH access (e.g. rsync), a Bash access for your managed server is optionally available after activation. Please note that all website folders and the complete file structure on the server can be accessed via the Bash access.

To maintain the Managed Service, the Bash history is logged by us. Changes via the Bash access that affect the system are not covered by the Managed Service and may have to be reversed or restored for a fee.

Attacks in the area of DoS/DDos are becoming a constantly growing threat. Arm yourself in time to prevent sales losses due to timeouts. InterNetX DDoS Mitigation Service supports you in defusing DDoS attacks and thus ideally maintaining the continued operation of affected services or websites, but in any case reducing disruptions to a minimum.
