# BackupMX object

## Description

The _BackupMX_ object maps backup mail servers. These can temporarily store emails in the event of a malfunction and the actual mail server becoming unavailable. After the malfunction is resolved, the BackupMX server then transfers the stored emails to the actual mail server.
