# Contact create

## Function

The task _ContactCreate_ creates a new contact.

## Description

If you need a contact with the same name several times for administrative reasons, this must be indicated in the request.
In XML you have to insert the key <key>force\_handle\_create></key> below <task>.
When using JSON, append the route like this: `/contact?keys[]=force_handle_create` in order to force the contact handle to be created.

Data validation

The address data is validated when the contact is created. The result of the validation is stored within the contact data. The validation results in values from A to E. If the validation result is D or E, the contact create fails with the error code `EF01152`. It is possible to ignore the validation result and create the contact anyway. To do this, the key `ignoreAddressQuality` can be specified using the query parameter `keys[]`.
