# Domain prereg delete

## Function

The _DomainPreregDelete_ task deletes a preregistration for a domain. This is possible only if the domain has one of the following statuses:

-   OPEN
-   PENDING
-   FAILED
-   AUTO\_CANCEL
-   ACCEPT
-   INVALID\_NAME
-   DECLINE
-   CANCEL
-   TMCH\_CLAIM\_REJECTED
-   TMCH\_CLAIM\_EXPIRED
-   TMCH\_CLAIM\_FAILED
-   FAILED\_REF

You can delete a preregistered domain by specifying the domain name and the preregistration phase or by specifying the order reference. You can determine the order number by a [DomainPreregInfo](/en/api/core-domain-prereg-info/) query.

### Description

Route: DELETE /domainPrereg/{reference}

There is no need to send a body.
