# EPP API basics

The EPP API maps the RFC EPP standard. All basic information about the EPP API are summarized on this page.

## Gateway addresses

**Live system**: epp.domain-robot.org:700

**Demo system**: epp-demo.domain-robot.org:700

## Connecting to the EPP system

We only allow 3 simultaneous connections per IP. All other connections from the same IP will be rejected by the system.

## Session

We recommend to keep the current session (EPP stream) active. Don't send a login command before each command.
