Description

Specifies the Resource Records. Is used for rr / rr_ad/ rr_rem.

Possible values

• A = IPv4 host address
• AAAA =  IPv6 host address
• MX = Mail Exchange – the mail server responsible for this domain
• CName = Canonical name for a host (the domain with this Resource Record is an alias)
• NS = hostname of an authoritative name server
• PTR = Domain Name Pointer (for reverse mapping to assign IP addresses to names). Please contact support for this.
• TXT = free text
• HINFO = Host information (processor type and operating system)
• SRV = Service
• NAPTR = (Naming Authority Pointer) Extension of the A Resource Record

Only with DNSSEC :

• DS = "Delegation Signer", used for linking DNSSEC signed zones
• SSHFP = Secure Shell (Key) Fingerprint
• TLSA = Supported SSL/TLS Certificates
