Introduction

The "External registrars" feature set allows domain portfolios from external suppliers to be integrated directly into the AutoDNS frontend.

This enables InterNetX customers to centralize their domain portfolios, some of which are fragmented across various competitors.

Overview

The External Domains function set allows you to add domains, registrar profiles, lists and jobs.

"Add Domains" allows to import or create your own domain lists.

"Connect Registrar Account" allows to connect existing registrar accounts.

Add Domains

You can import or insert your manual domain list here. "Supported Fields" shows how domains and additional data can be supplied.

Either drag and drop your lists here or just start typing your domain data.

At the bottom the area "SUPPORTED FIELDS" will give an overview about formatting and how data can be supplied.

After the inital import/add you can further edit the domain list and supply additional data.

As soon as all data are supplied a final check will show if anything in the supplied data is missing or incorrect.

After the successful domain add/import the domains will be available for further handling in the Domains overview.

Connect Registrar Account

You can connect several external registrar APIs directly to AutoDNS in order to fetch domain inventory, contact and zone data.

The following external registrar APIs are currently supported:

• Antagus/Vautron
• Ascio
• GoDaddy (in the course of Q2)
• Hexonet, OpenSRS/Tucows
• PartnerGate
• RRPProxy/CentralNIC Reseller/KeySystems
• Domain Robot (AutoDNS)

After successful implementation the external API can be checked for connection and a sync of the inventory is possible.

After a successful sync the external inventory will be available.

Add and manage Lists

You can define and add lists according to your needs. All domains can be put into lists and can be moved between lists.

Also a merge of inventory lists is possible e.g. to create monthly bulk transfer lists.

Every domain from the domain inventory can be added to inidivual lists.

Jobs overview

The Jobs overview gives a detailed status update about profile and sync jobs to external APIs.

The job details show exactly what worked, what did not work and you can also access the raw API data here.

For problem tracking reasons a UUID is supplied.

Domain Status

The comprehensive new icon set shows in detail what the inidivual status of a domain is and if the domain is ready for transfer.

Currently an Authinfo sync is in the works, in the meantime you can manually add existing authcodes here.

Not every API allows authinfo rerieval, some external registrars will still require manual interaction.

Zone sync and creation is currently in implementation and will be available soon.

Outlook for additional features

Some key features are currently in development and will be available soon.

The new functions have already been included as preview with a "coming soon" icon. This will give you an overview of additional helpful tools to ease your portfolio consolidation.

Mapping functions for contacts, nameserver and ressource record mapping will allow users to simplify returning tasks like monthly bulk transfers before the domain expiration.

Single transfers via the shopping cart and bulk transfers will be available until end of Q2/2025.
